Schedule Crew Size

NOTE-- We retired MacNail in 2000 or 2001, and replaced it with Goldenseal construction business software. Like MacNail, Goldenseal is designed for builders, remodelers and other small project-based businesses. Goldenseal is "run your business" software that handles simple construction scheduling, plus accounting, construction estimating, and project management, In Goldenseal, you can also set up crew sizes for projects, by entering them into Estimates or estimating templates.

Crew Size

Use *Crew Size to change the overall number of skilled and unskilled employees on the project, and the number of work hours per week used by the MacNail construction scheduling software. This command only works if a schedule is the active document (in front).

HINT: You can also type crew size directly into the schedule, or change the crew size for individual items. See page 47 for more about crew sizes in the MacNail project management software.

NOTE: This command may not be visible on a small screen. Drag the mouse down to the very bottom of the menu to see the hidden commands.

To Change the Crew Size on a schedule:
1. Choose *Crew Size from the Formula menu.
2. Type the desired numbers into the dialog box. The numbers that first appear in the dialog box are the current crew size and week length for the active schedule.
3. Click OK to apply the current numbers to the active schedule.

NOTE: To set the default crew size that will be used on future schedules, use the *Scheduling Options command.

Keyboard shortcut: option-command-C.

Running Time: 3 seconds/8 seconds.
