Adding Schedule Rows

NOTE-- Our MacNail software is now retired-- we replaced it with Goldenseal construction software back in 2000. Goldenseal is an integrated program that handles simple construction project scheduling, plus accounting, construction estimating, and project management. It uses a simple, consistent interface that is much simpler than what's in MacNail.

Edit Menu

Excel's Edit menu includes commands for editing cells and worksheets in the MacNail project management software. MacNail Scheduling adds six new commands to this menu.

WARNING: When working with MacNail files, never use Excel's Insert or Delete commands. They can damage the worksheet.

NOTE: Some of the Edit menu commands may not be visible on a small screen. Drag the mouse down to the very bottom of the menu to see the remaining commands.

*Add Rows Here

Use *Add Rows Here when you want to insert a row into the middle of any schedule or reminder list in the MacNail construction scheduling software.

To Add Rows:
1. Click anywhere within the row where you'd like to have new rows appear.
2. Drag the mouse down through as many rows as you would like to add at the selected location.
3. Choose *Add Rows from the Edit menu.
4. Click OK in the confirming dialog box (or type the Enter or Return key).

The new rows will be added just above the top row of your selection. The number of rows to be added will be equal to the number of rows that you have selected.

NOTE: This command will also work on non-MacNail documents. It will add whole rows at the selected location.

Keyboard shortcut: option-command-A.

Running time: 15 seconds/45 seconds.
