Adding & Deleting Schedule Rows

NOTE-- Our MacNail software is now retired-- we replaced it with Goldenseal construction software back in 2000. Goldenseal is an integrated program that handles simple construction project scheduling, plus accounting, construction estimating, and project management. It also lets you add or remove items from an estimate (and the schedule that is part of it).

*Add Rows at Bottom

Use *Add Rows at Bottom to add a quantity of new rows at the bottom of any Reminder List in the MacNail construction scheduling software.

NOTE: This command will not work on other scheduling worksheets, or on non-MacNail worksheets.

The number of rows that will be added at one time is set by the *Reminder Options command (see page 98). It can be any number from 1 to 100.

Keyboard shortcut: option-command-G.

Running time: 15 seconds/45 seconds.

*Delete Rows

Choose *Delete Rows when you wish to delete a row or rows completely from the MacNail project management software. The number of rows to be deleted will be equal to the number of rows that you have selected. The rows below the selected rows will move up to fill the vacated space.

NOTE: This command also works on non-MacNail documents. It deletes whole rows at the selected location.

To Delete Rows:
1. Select any cells in the row or rows to be deleted.
2. Choose *Delete Rows from the Edit menu.
3. Click OK in the confirming dialog box.
4. The entire row or rows you selected will be deleted. If the file is a MacNail schedule, formulas will be adjusted so the "time line" still works correctly.

WARNING: Always delete rows with caution. In some cases, you cannot undo the *Delete Rows command.

Keyboard shortcut: option-command-K.

Running time: 8 seconds/20 seconds.
