Quickie Estimators

NOTE-- In 2000 we retired MacNail and BidMagic (our previous estimating programs), and introduced Goldenseal construction estimating software to replace them. There are still quite a few die-hard MacNail users, so we keep the manuals online for them! Goldenseal also includes accounting, job costing and project management features. Goldenseal does not have an exact equivalent for the Quicky Estimators, but you can accomplish the same thing by clicking the New button, and starting an empty Estimate.

The Quickie Estimators

Quickie estimators include no pre-entered items or prices. They are much smaller than the main estimators in the MacNail construction estimator software. They will open, save and recalculate more quickly, and they take up much less space on your hard disk.

Use them for:
* Small projects that only include a few items.
* Projects that are almost entirely subcontracted.

You can also add your own items and prices to one of the Quickie Estimators to create a custom estimator for a specific type of project.

The Quickie Estimators do not accept projects from Hyper*Estimator or Hyper*Remodeler.
* Quickie MacNail Estimator--similar to Short MacNail Estimator, except all items and unit prices have been removed.
* Quickie CSI Estimator--similar to Short CSI Estimator, except all items and unit prices have been removed.
