Using the Macintosh or Windows

NOTE-- In 2000 we introduced Goldenseal construction estimating software, and retired MacNail and BidMagic (our previous estimating programs). There are still die-hard users out there, so we keep the manuals online for them! Goldenseal is an integrated program that also includes accounting, job costing and project management features. It runs on any Macintosh or Windows computer.

Using the Macintosh

This manual assumes that you already have some experience with the Macintosh computer.
You should know--
* How to move the mouse.
* How to type from the keyboard.
* You 'll also need a few basic 'desktop' skills such as copying and moving files between disks.

If you are completely new to the Mac, we suggest that you practice first with instructional aids like the Macintosh Guided Tour that comes with your computer. It will help you to get the most out of the MacNail construction estimating software.

Using a DOS Computer with Windows

This manual assumes that you already have some experience with the DOS computer and Windows.
You should know--
* How to begin a Windows session.
* How to use Menus.

If you are completely new to the computer, we suggest that you practice first with an experienced person at your side. It will help you to get the most out of the MacNail construction estimating software.

Note: Your screen may look sightly different than the pictures in this manual, but will function the same.
