Estimating with Excel 2.2 |
NOTE-- In 2000 we completely replaced MacNail with the newer Goldenseal construction estimating software. There are still die-hard MacNail users, so we keep the manuals online for their use! Goldenseal is an integrated program that also includes accounting, job costing and contract writing features. It does not require Excel. Using Excel version 2.2 (and greater) This manual is written assuming you are using Excel 1.5. Excel 2.2 offers some new features, but few of them affect MacNail construction estimating software. Those that do are noted in the text and below. Converting MacNail Files The MacNail construction estimating software is available in both Excel 1.5 and 2.2 formats. If you have the 1.5 version and upgrade to Excel 2.2 you 'll need to convert all your MacNail files. To do this: 1.
While on the desktop, double-click on the MacNail Manager. Non-MacNail files will need to be converted to 2.2 format
