NOTE-- In 2000 we retired MacNail and BidMagic (our previous estimating programs), and replaced them with Goldenseal construction estimating software. There are still die-hard MacNail and BidMagic users, so we keep their manuals online! Goldenseal includes similar estimating software features, plus accounting, job costing and project management.

Estimate Worksheet Layout

MacNail map--This map shows you the approximate location of each function on the estimating worksheets. The row numbers listed are for MacNail Estimator--other estimators will vary somewhat.

Each function in the MacNail construction estimating software is handled in a specific part of the worksheet.

You can enter (and view) information about any estimate in whatever order you'd like. If you make a mistake, or change something in the plans, just change it in the appropriate section. The estimate will be adjusted automatically.
