Opening an Estimator Blank |
NOTE-- We retired the MacNail estimating program in 2000, and replaced it with Goldenseal construction estimating software. There are still a significant number of die-hard MacNail users, so we keep the manuals online for them! Goldenseal is an integrated program that also includes accounting, scheduling and contract writing. It does not require Excel, nor many of the worksheet files required in MacNail. Opening Estimator Blanks To open an existing Estimator Blank, choose Open File from the File menu, then click on Estimator Blank from the list of file types. You'll then be shown a list of all your Estimator Blanks-- click on one, then click OK. To use an Estimator Blank to make a new estimator, choose New Estimator from the File menu, then click on Category Sheet. After choosing a Category Sheet to use as a source for the category system, you'll be able to choose an Estimator Blank to start with. See page 29 for further instructions. HINT: You probably won't ever need to use Estimator blanks in the MacNail construction management software, or if you do it's only likely to be needed once or twice. |
