Creating Assemblies |
NOTE-- We retired the MacNail estimating program in 2000, and replaced it with Goldenseal construction estimating software. There are still a significant number of die-hard MacNail users, so we keep the manuals online for them! Goldenseal is an integrated program that also includes accounting, scheduling and contract writing. It also uses construction assemblies, in a database record format that is much easier to use. To create a new material assembly in the MacNail construction management software, first open the MacNail Assemblies file (or some other Assemblies file if you are using more than one). To open an Assemblies file, choose Open File from the File menu, then click on Assemblies. As an alternative, choose Material Assemblies from the MacNail (McN) menu. When creating new
assemblies, you may also want to open the matching Price Sheet, to see a list of available materials,
and an estimator or Price Master, so you'll see the code numbers for unit prices you are adding. |
