Project Names & Worker's Comp Rates |
Project Names The Master Index stores a list of all projects that are currently active. You can use any kind of code number for each project--as long as they are in ascending order. A menu command in the Cost Control Manager will sort the projects into ascending order for you (see page 104). When you start a new project, you will type a new code number into the code column, and a project name into the job name column. If you set up a cost control sheet from a MacNail estimate, the project will automatically be entered into the Master Index (see page 59). NOTE-- In 2000, MacNail was replaced by Goldenseal construction accounting software. Goldenseal is an integrated program that includes general accounting, job costing, payroll and project billing, plus estimating and other features. Goldenseal has a much better system of data storage for projects and customers. Workman's Comp The MacNail construction accounting software gives you three different ways to compute workman's compensation rates. If you would like to use a different rate for each type of work performed, enter comp
rates for each construction code in the last two columns of the Master Index. Otherwise you can leave them
blank. |
