Accounting Lookup Formulas |
Lookup Formulas Choose *Lookup Formulas to change the 'lookup formulas' that the MacNail construction accounting software uses to find payee and project names from the Master Index. NOTE-- Goldenseal construction accounting software replaced MacNail in 2000. It's an integrated program that includes general accounting, job costing, payroll and project billing, plus estimating and other features. Goldenseal does not need lookup formulas, since it is not based on Excel, and automatically links data without any effort on the part of the user. If there is no lookup formula in the selected row, this command will add lookup formulas. If there is already a lookup formula in the selected row, this command will remove it. If more than one row is selected when this command is selected, all of the rows will have their lookup formulas changed. The change will be based on the first row of the selection. If it has no lookup formulas, then lookup formulas will be added to all the rows. If it does have lookup formulas, then lookup formulas will be removed from all rows. Use *Lookup Formulas if you change the job number or payee number of an old item, and want the new job name or payee to be 'looked up'. Avoid the use of too many lookup formulas. They are very slow to recalculate! After adding lookup formulas to a row, remove them again when you are finished NOTE: Lookup formulas are added automatically to new rows when you choose *Add Rows. They are removed from previous rows when you choose *Add Rows. Running
