Temporary Faucet Cost |
Construction ITEM DESCRIPTION Plumbing work for a temporary faucet, set up for jobsites to provide temporary water supply during early construction phases. This is a "quick and dirty" installation into an existing water line. Unit Size One temporary faucet. Labor Costs We figure about 3/4 plumber or carpenter hours for the plumbing work, plus a little laborer time to prepare the site. Material Costs Includes one salvaged faucet plus about 20 ft of line. The pricing is based on galvanized iron though we would probably use plastic piping most of the time. Suggested Quantity Depends on project size. We suggest one per project. Source of Construction Pricing A very rough estimate, based on vague recollections from the few times we've needed to install temporary plumbing. Comments You probably won't need to use this very often, but for a total gut/rehab you may need the temporary plumbing to provide water during foundation and framing work. HINT-- For new construction you might want to consider installing a freeze-proof hydrant instead as a permanent installation. For more about Goldenseal construction estimating software, click here.
