Temporary Electrical Outlets Cost |
Construction ITEM DESCRIPTION A temporary electrical outlet, set up for jobsites to provide temporary power during early construction phases. Unit Size One electrical outlet. Labor Costs We figure about 1 3/4 electrician hours for the wiring, plus a little laborer time to prepare the site. NOTE-- The time is based on installing just one or two outlets on a project. If you are installing a large number of temporary electrical outlets, you could reduce the time considerably. Material Costs Includes one electrical outlet box, plus some 10 gauge wiring. Suggested Quantity Depends on project size. We suggest one per story. Source of Construction Pricing Based on our vague recollections from maybe a dozen remodeling projects. We've never actually timed it. The cost probably varies quite a bit depending on the installation details. Comments Skip this item when estimating rehab projects, if the existing electrical wiring is sufficient. For more about Goldenseal construction estimating software, click here.
