Opening Goldenseal with Older Versions

Can I open my current Goldenseal file with an older version of the Goldenseal program?

Usually, no.

In most cases, you can not open your company file with an older version of the Goldenseal accounting software program.

NOTE-- When we add new features, we often change the file format, and older versions of Goldenseal don't know how to deal with those changes.

Exceptions

In some updates, we don't change the basic file format, so it is possible to open your company file with an older version of the Goldenseal software program. If that is the case, we'll mention it on the update download page for that version.
