Deleting & Hiding Table Columns

I don't want to see a column in a breakdown table. How can I hide it or remove it?

The safest way to remove a column from a data entry column is to hide it.

To hide a table column, follow these steps:

  1. Choose Custom Layouts from the Options menu, and choose Transactions from the submenu.
  2. Use the Transaction popup field at upper left to locate the transaction you'd like to change.
  3. Use the Layout popup field at upper left to locate the breakdown you'd like to change.
  4. Double-click on the column you'd like to hide.
  5. Type 0 into the Width field, then click OK.

Some table columns in Goldenseal estimating software and accounting software are deletable with Edit-- Delete Column from Table command, but in a few places you may cause calculation problems if you delete a column. So the best bet is to hide it instead.
