Painting Costs are Off |
Problem Painting cost is way off, too high or too low -- after they've customized unit prices on the Paint card. Diagnosis check lines 13, 14, 15. The are measured in GALLONS, not in dollars, so they should not be changed. Numbers should be .07, .008 and .002 respectively. A couple of users have thought that all unit costs are in dollars, and have changed them with disastrous results. Note that BidMagic Construction Estimating Software is clearer about material quantities, and Goldenseal assemblies are even clearer. Solution If numbers were changed, change them back-- the represent the number of gallons of paint used for a window/door, foot of baseboard or foot of eaves respectively, and shouldn't change even if unit prices have changed. NOTE-- We retired BidMagic estimating software back in 2002, and replaced with Goldenseal-- which is integrated estimating software and project management software (plus optional accounting software).
