HyperEstimator Expected Number Here

Problem

Error: "expected number here" during or after calculation

Diagnosis

There are many possibilities, but if the error occurs towards the end of the calc process, it is most likely because one or more fudge factors have been set to zero. Normally, if error-checking is on, the program won't allow you to zero the fudge factors, but if it is turned off, the user can do so, with disastrous results.

Solution

Find the bad value and change it. Stress that they must have error-checking turned on for safety. Note that BidMagic construction estimating software always uses the error-checking so this won't be a problem.

NOTE-- We retired BidMagic estimating software back in 2002, and replaced with Goldenseal-- which is integrated estimating software and project management software (plus optional accounting software).
