BidMagic Invalid Date

Problem

giving 'invalid date' message in BidMagic Construction Estimating Software for Windows

Diagnosis

If it happens when they hit the calculator button, the likeliest place for a bad date is on the bottom line card. Make sure the start date is after 1/1/2000. Toolbook is not good about dates before Y2K, now that it is after Y2K.
If it happens when updating prices, it may be a bad date in the material prices. See below for solution.

Solution

1. Choose Export Material Prices from the Data menu.
2. Open the file with Excel or another spreadsheet.
3. Use copy/paste to enter valid dates for everything.
4. In BidMagic, choose Import Material Prices from the Data menu, and bring in the file that was just changed.

NOTE-- We retired BidMagic estimating software back in 2002, and replaced with Goldenseal-- which is integrated estimating software and project management software (plus optional accounting software).
