Diagnosis
do they have two bids open at the same time?
did they open a bid, then go back to File Manager/Explorer and open another bid?
Solution
Shutting down both bids, then opening just one and forcing it to recalc, almost always solves the
problem. PREVENTION-- don't open 2 bids!
To open two bids at once:
1. in File Manager, make a copy of the complete BidMagic folder.
2. Launch BIDMAGIC.EXE from the first folder. Open a bid with it.
3. Launch BIDMAGIC.EXE from the other folder. Open the other bid with it (use template in the 2nd
folder). WARNING: don't double-click to open!

BACKGROUND: On a Mac, if you double-click a BM file while BM is open, the OS just activates BM and
passes it the file, which it opens.
On Windows, if you double-click a .bid file while BMW is open to another
bid, Windows actually opens another copy of the application in RAM! So
you have one application file which has two instances running.
This causes weird problems- presumably the application is not being properly shared.
