Room Report

For remodeling projects, a Room Report is available--it lists the following items:

• The dimensions of each room.
• The cost of each room--calculated by dividing the costs of the entire project among the rooms based upon their square footage.

WARNING: If construction materials are not similar for all rooms, the cost breakdown between rooms will not be fully accurate.

To create a report file that can be manipulated in a word processor or spreadsheet, follow these steps:

1. Choose Export Room Report from the Rooms menu.
2. You'll be asked for a name under which to save the export--type in a name, then click Save.
3. A text file will be created, listing the dimensions and approximate cost for each room.
4. Switch to your favorite program that reads text files, and use it to open the file.

HINT: Open the Room report with your word processor to create a proposal letter, or open it with your spreadsheet program and format the columns and text to suit your needs.

To print a room report, choose Print Room Report from the Rooms menu.
