Printing & Exporting Estimates

NOTE-- We retired the BidMagic construction estimating software in 2001. It has been replaced by Goldenseal construction estimating software.

We still include this BidMagic estimating software manual as a convenience for users of our older program. Many features are similar, in Goldenseal estimating.

Leaving the Bottom Line

To return to the card you were in before going to the Bottom Line card, click on the 'bent arrow' button at upper right, or choose Recent Card from the Navigate menu.

Use the Compass button to jump to any other location within BidMagic.

Printing and Exporting the Bottom Line

To print a Bottom Line report showing costs for each category, click on the Printer button at upper right, or choose Print Bottom Line from the File menu.

To create a Bottom Line report that can be opened by other programs, follow these steps:

Choose Export Bottom Line from the Output menu.
You'll be asked for a name under which to save the export--type in a name, then click OK.
A text file will be created, listing the price for each category, and the grand total for the project.
Switch to your favorite program that reads text files, and use it to open the file.

HINT: Paste the Bottom Line report into your word processor to create a proposal letter, or open it with your spreadsheet program and format the columns and text however you'd like.
