Room by Room Bidding with BidMagic

Rooms Menu

The Rooms menu is only visible in the BidMagic remodeling estimating software, if you've chosen Remodeling as a construction type on the first Dimensions card. It lets you look at each room individually, for "room by room" bidding.

Go To Room -G

Choose Go To Room to get to any room in a remodeling or new construction project.
You can type in either the number of the room (numbered consecutively, starting at 1), or its name. If you type in just part of the name, BidMagic will find the first room that contains that text.

Print Room Report

Choose Print Room Report to get a breakdown of the dimensions and costs of the project on a room by room basis. The costs of the project are broken down equally among the rooms based upon their square footage, so for projects where the costs vary widely from room to room, these figures may not be accurate.

Export Room Report

Choose Export Room Report to produce a text file listing information about each room in the project. The file can be opened by any word processor, spreadsheet, or any other program that can read text files.

Room Names

The first 30 rooms are listed by name at the bottom of the Rooms menu. Choose any room name from the list, and you 'll jump directly to that room.

NOTE: If the menu is longer than your screen, some of the rooms may not be visible. Drag the mouse to the Down Arrow at the bottom of the menu, and the remaining rooms will scroll into view.

When you have more than 30 rooms in the project, use the Go To Room command to jump to rooms after the thirtieth.

HINT: You can also go to the last listed room, then use the Right Arrow button to move through cards to the desired room.
