Printing Estimates

NOTE-- We retired the BidMagic construction estimating software in 2001. It has been replaced by Goldenseal construction estimating software.

We still include this BidMagic estimating software manual as a convenience for users of our older program. Many features are similar, in Goldenseal estimating.

Choose Print Dimensions from the File menu to print a list of project dimensions, choose Print Specifications to see a list of all items included in the project, and choose Print Bottom Line to print the detailed cost breakdown from the Bottom Line card.

Choose Export to MacNail from the Data menu to take all of the cost, dimensional and specification data from BidMagic and export it in a form that can be read by MacNail estimating software.

Choose Create Archive from the Data menu to store a very compact copy of a BidMagic bid. You can retrieve the information with the Open Archive command.

Choose Export Bottom Line from the Data menu to save the 'Bottom Line' report as a text file, which can be opened by your favorite spreadsheet or word processor. Use it if you'd like to change the 'look' of the cost report by using another program.

Choose Import Unit Prices and Export Unit Prices to share the BidMagic Price Book with other BidMagic templates, with MacNail, or with other estimating programs. The Import Unit Prices command reads in a table of unit prices created or updated by MacNail, while Export Unit Prices sends out the same data so it can be used elsewhere.
