Adding Other Estimating Specs

The BidMagic construction estimating software lets you type in estimating specs, if an item is not available in the stored list of unit costs.

Entering 'Other' Items

To enter a cost that is not available in the Price Book, follow these steps:

1. Click the mouse on one of the unused pop-up buttons under the desired category.
2. Choose Other from the bottom of the pop-up list, then release the mouse button. A new blank line item will be created.
3. Type in a brief description of the new line item, and enter its dollar cost into the field at right.

WARNING: Line items entered with the Other choice are stored only temporarily--they are irreversibly removed if you change them to something else. To permanently add a new line item, see page 258.
