NOTE-- We retired the BidMagic construction estimating
software in 2001. It has been replaced by Goldenseal construction
estimating software.
We still include this BidMagic estimating software manual
as a convenience for users of our older program. Many features are
similar, in Goldenseal estimating.

any MacNail Estimator, or to another BidMagic template.

MacNail, see page 388.

Importing Prices into MacNail
1. Open the Transfer Manager if it is not already open.
2. Choose Import Unit Prices from the Bid menu.
3. Choose the BidMagic Prices file you'd like to import.
4. Select a Price Master to receive the new prices. In most cases you'll use the MacNail Price Master.
NOTE: Price Masters need to be located in the Master Files folder, inside the Customizing folder,
in order to be accessible for import. Refer to the MacNail Customizing manuals for more about the folder setup
that
is required.
5. Turn on Warn about Problems to have the import process stop and warn you about any problems that arise.
Turn on Import New Items to add any items that are not already in the Price Master. Turn on Labor Hours to
import labor unit prices, turn on Material Prices to import material unit prices, and turn on Formulas, Titles
and Comments to replace titles, unit sizes and formulas with the ones used in BidMagic.
6. The unit prices will be imported into the Price Master--it may take several minutes to several hours,
depending on the number of items being imported, and the speed of your computer.
