Using Buttons for Estimating

NOTE-- We retired the BidMagic construction estimating software in 2001. It has been replaced by Goldenseal construction estimating software.

We still include this BidMagic estimating software manual as a convenience for users of our older program. Many features are similar, in Goldenseal estimating.

The BidMagic estimating software uses several different kinds of buttons. To use a button, move the mouse over the button, and click the mouse button.

Some buttons are action buttons--clicking on them will take you to some other card, or perform some other action. The button may have an icon that graphically reminds you what it does, or a text description of its action.

BidMagic also includes several sets of radio buttons. Radio buttons allow you to choose one of several possible choices --simply click on the choice you'd like to use.

Another button used in BidMagic is the checkbox. Checkboxes give you a 'yes or no' choice. If the box has an X, it is on. If the box is empty, it is off. Each time you click on a checkbox, you 'toggle' it to the opposite state.

Besides these four basic types of buttons, The BidMagic construction estimating software uses three special types of buttons--cycle buttons, pop-up buttons and nudge buttons. They will be described in the following three sections.
