Estimating Custom Doors

NOTE-- We retired the BidMagic construction estimating software in 2001. It has been replaced by Goldenseal construction estimating software.

We still include this BidMagic estimating software manual as a convenience for users of our older program. Many features are similar, in Goldenseal estimating.

The BidMagic construction estimating software includes project quantities for custom doors, so you can treat them differently from pre-hung doors.

Custom Doors

Under Custom Doors, enter the total number of doors that will be hung using site-built jambs and/or hinges, instead of using pre-hung door units.

Window/Door Trim Widths

If you are cutting door and window trim out of pine, cedar or hardwood stock, enter the width you will use for both interior and exterior trim, measured in inches.

If you are using stock mouldings or will have no trim on windows and/or doors, ignore these quantities.
