It will take you to a card that handles the basic construction type, the approximate cost of the project, and a few other basic measurements. It also includes a directory of buttons that helps you to jump quickly to any of the other Dimensions cards. Construction Type Click on New Construction, Addition, Gut/Rehab or Remodeling, depending on the type of project you are bidding. Approximate Project Cost The approximate project cost is used to calculate the cost of building permits and a few other items. If this quantity is locked, BidMagic makes it equal to the most recently calculated total from the Bottom Line card. You can also unlock this item and enter your own estimate of the final project cost. Project Measurements Enter the longest length, the widest width, and the number of living units in the project. Click the cycle button to select a single-unit, townhouse, or multi-level project (see page 174). NOTE: This button is not available for single-unit new construction. If you selected Addition as the construction type, enter the lineal feet of contact between the addition and the existing building. If you selected Remodeling as the construction type, enter the number of rooms having some kind of work done to them. Directory Buttons At the bottom of the Dimensions card are seven Directory buttons. Click any of the buttons to go to a particular Dimensions card. HINT: You can also click the Right Arrow button (at upper right) to go through each Dimensions card in sequence.
