Renaming Estimating Subcategories

NOTE-- We retired the BidMagic construction estimating software in 2001. It has been replaced by Goldenseal construction estimating software.

We still include this BidMagic estimating software manual as a convenience for users of our older program. Many features are similar, in Goldenseal estimating.

You can customize the appearance of the BidMagic construction estimating software, by renaming construction subcategories or changing the graphics

Renaming Subcategories

To rename a subcategory, follow these steps:

  1. Hold down the Option key while you click on any subcategory heading.
  2. Type in a new subcategory name, then click OK.

Customizing Graphics

To redo any graphics on Specifications or elsewhere in BidMagic, follow these steps:

  1. Choose Preferences from the Navigate menu.
  2. Turn on Show Painting Menus.
  3. Go to the card you'd like to change.
  4. Choose one of the painting tools from the Tools menu (see page 411).
  5. Use the painting tools and the painting menu commands to change the graphics as desired.
  6. When you are done, choose the Finger tool from the Tools menu to return to normal use of BidMagic.
