software in 2001. It has been replaced by Goldenseal construction
estimating software.
We still include this BidMagic estimating software manual
as a convenience for users of our older program. Many features are
similar, in Goldenseal estimating.

When you use the BidMagic bidding software, you can work with more than one bid at the same time.
When working with more than one bid at once, each bid works completely independently--the
numbers, choices and Preferences you enter into each estimate will affect
only that particular project.
Opening more than One Bid
To open more than one bid or estimate at a time with the BidMagic construction estimating
software, follow these steps:
- Open the first bid by
double-clicking on its icon in the Macintosh Finder
- While in BidMagic, choose Open from the File
menu.
- Turn on the Open Bid in new window option at the bottom of the dialog box NOTE:
If you don't
turn on this option, the first bid will be closed before the second bid is opened.
- Select a BidMagic
bid from the list, then click Open.
- To open additional bids at the same time, repeat steps 2, 3 and
4.
Switching between Different Bids
To switch between different bids:
- If you have enough room on the screen to see part or all
of the bid that is behind the one you are currently using, click the mouse anywhere in its
window, and it will be brought to the front.
- If you can't see the bid that is 'behind' the
currently active bid, choose Next Window from the File menu.
NOTE: If you have more than two bids
open, you may need to choose Next Window more than once to activate the bid you want. When you switch between
different bids, BidMagic may take a few seconds to 'tidy up' the bid
you are leaving, before it can activate the new bid.
