Category Sheets

NOTE-- We retired the MacNail estimating program in 2000, and replaced it with Goldenseal construction estimating software. There are still a significant number of die-hard MacNail users, so we keep the manuals online for them! Goldenseal is an integrated program that also includes accounting, scheduling and contract writing. Goldenseal uses Category Systems to store the same info that is in a MacNail Category Sheet.

Use a Category Sheet to create new estimators in the MacNail construction management software.

This file stores an 'outline' of the construction categories and subcategories that will be used in a new estimator, along with the size of each category, the type of labor/material/subcontractor formulas, and the skilled wage rate to be used.
