Updating Job Costs

As you work on each of your new projects in the MacNail construction accounting software, you will accumulate cost items in the Ledgers and Logbooks. You can post these costs to the individual Job Cost Control worksheets whenever you want.posting costs

All of your projects will be updated at the same time. The posting is an automatic process that you can run whenever you want to.

Setting Options

Choose *Job Cost Options from the OPTIONS menu to set a few basic options for Job Cost Control and Profit & Loss posting.

Put a check beside Alert for Missing Files if you would like to be informed about listed projects that do not have a Job Cost Control worksheet. Turn it off to speed up the updating process--missing files will simply be skipped, and a *missing file error message will be placed in the cc? column.

Put a check beside Check Previous Postings if you would like to re-check items that have already been posted to the P&L Reports. It will take much longer to do so.
