Accounting Data Entry

All data entry in the MacNail construction accounting software worksheets is a matter of typing items into worksheets. You can use all the Excel 'tricks', such as Fill Down and Fill Right, Copy, and Paste.

NOTE: Do not use the Insert and Delete commands.

NOTE: Some Excel commands cannot be used on protected worksheets (see page 219).

Cells that will usually have something typed into them are bordered on all sides in the worksheets. Cells that are usually not changed by the user are unbordered.

NOTE-- In 2000, MacNail was replaced by Goldenseal construction accounting software. Goldenseal is an integrated program that includes general accounting, job costing, payroll and project billing, plus estimating and other features. It does not require Excel, and is even easier to use!
