Macintosh File Contents
On the Macintosh, the contents of the Accounts folder are as follows:
NOTE-- Goldenseal construction
accounting
software is a much simpler system. It stores all information
in one file, so you don't need to manage large
numbers of separate files. Goldenseal was released
in 2000, and replaces MacNail accounting.

Accounting Manager 3.0 opens accounting files, helps with accounting data entry, and performs payroll
and extraction functions.

Cost Control Manager 3.0 sets up cost control worksheets and posts expenses from the Ledgers and
Logbooks to each cost control worksheet.

Current Accounts folder holds all of your active accounting files. This is where you will keep
your active Checkbook Ledger, Labor Log, Material Log, Subcontractor Log, and Misc Log. It also contains the
Master Index, which stores information about your employees, subcontractors, suppliers, and projects.

Payroll Reports and Payroll Files will store payroll information that is created by the Accounting
Manager.

Current Job Costs holds job cost control worksheets for each project you are job costing and an
Office Cost Control worksheet to track general overhead and office expenses.

Accounting Reports and Financial Reports include any reports that you generate from your accounting
worksheets.

Accounting Blanks stores clean versions of the Checkbook Ledger and the different Logbooks. It
also stores blanks that are used when setting up Cost Control worksheets, and blanks that are used for reports
and for payroll.

Printed Log Forms includes two worksheets (daily and weekly) that you can print out for use
as a job log and hourly tracking sheet for your employees. You can use either of them as a time card if you
don 't already have a time card system that you like. Windows File Contents
On Windows, the contents of the Accounts folder are as follows:
* Accounts.XLM opens accounting files, helps with accounting data entry, and performs

CostCtrl.XLM sets up cost control worksheets and posts expenses from the Ledgers and Logbooks to
each cost control worksheet.

CurAccts folder holds all of your active accounting files. This is where you will keep your
active Checkbook Ledgers (*.LED), Sample Labor Logs (Sample.LLG), Sample Material Logs (Sample.MLG), Sample
Subcontractor Log (Sample.SLG), and Sample Misc Log (Sample OLG). It also contains the Master Index (MASTER.NDX),
which stores information about your employees, subcontractors, suppliers, and projects.

PayRlRps and PayRlFls will store Payroll Reports (*.PRP) and Payroll Files (*.PAY) that were created
by the Accounts.XLM. The PayrlFls directory will also include the Company payroll files (*.CPR).

CurJbCst holds job cost control worksheets for each project you are job costing and an Office Cost
Control (Office.CC ) worksheet to track general overhead and office expenses.

AcctReps and FinaReps include any reports that you generate from your accounting worksheets.
