Blank worksheet opens when you double click on a document -or-Can't find application

Your excel version number is less than the version required to open this document in the MacNail construction accounting software. For instance, you may be trying to open an Excel 2.2 document with Excel 1.5.

NOTE-- In 2000, MacNail was replaced by Goldenseal construction accounting software. Goldenseal is an integrated program that includes general accounting, job costing, payroll and project billing, plus estimating and other features. We wrote Goldenseal from the ground up, so it doesn't require Excel, and is much less likely to give you weird error messages!

Can't Paste, -or-Can't Fill Down

Press the ENTER key. Unprotect the document. In Excel 2.2, switch to short menus.

Date is Wrong

Reset the date using the Control Panel desk accessory. If it does not stay accurate, replace the battery in your Macintosh.

Document name could not be opened

Check your file names and folder arrangements (see page 12). The file named Document name could not be found where it was supposed to be.

Enter Key doesn 't work

The ENTER Key doesn't move to another cell when the document is not protected. Use the RETURN or TAB keys or protect the document.

Everything is empty cells

You have probably scrolled down past the bottom of the worksheet. Slide the 'slide bar' at the right side of the window all the way to the top.
