#### Appears in a Cell If a number is too big to display
in a cell, #### will appear instead. Make the column width wider. To do so: NOTE-- In 2000, MacNail was replaced by Goldenseal construction accounting software. Now to remove the old #REF values (see page 221). NOTE: Typing a space into a cell will cause an error. Excel can not see it like a blank cell, even though it looks like one to you! If you have a mysterious #VALUE error, click on and delete 'blank' cells in the row. #REF errors can also be caused by improper insertions or deletions. Use *Add Rows and *Delete Rows only. Never use Excel 's Insert and Delete commands. NOTE: Be very careful not to eliminate cells or formulas unintentionally if you make major structural changes in the MacNail construction accounting software. Be ready to revert to a previous saved version if errors start to appear. To repair a numerical or reference error in the running total column of a Ledger: 1. Find the top row that has the error message
