Construction ITEM DESCRIPTION Construction estimating unit cost for 2x2 framing applied to a basement masonry wall using .22 cartridge nails. This cost applies to walls that are entirely within the basement and not exposed to the outdoors on either side. Unit Size One lineal foot of wall. Labor Costs We figure about 6 1/2 lineal feet of wall per carpenter hour, plus a little unskilled help. Material Costs 10 feet of 2x2 lumber per foot of wall plus a few shim shingles and .22 cartridge nails.
