Printing Leases

Goldenseal Leases are designed to handle the accounting for tenant leases, but they don't create a legal document.

If you want to create custom Lease legal documents in Goldenseal, use a Contract. It can include any Contract Clauses that you want to set up for your leases, and it can also fill in the tenant's name and address from their Customer account record.

Goldenseal contracts create a text document that you can open and print in any word processor.

If your lease is very short and can fit on a page or two, you can also use the Custom Layouts command to create a printed form, which can include information from the Lease, plus any "boilerplate" text that you want to include. In that case, the lease will look like a business form, rather than a legal document.
