Creating a New Custom Report

I want to create a new, custom report!

In Goldenseal small business software, you can create your own, custom layouts for reports. To create a custom report, follow these steps:

  1. Choose Custom Layouts from the Options menu, and choose Reports from the submenu.
  2. Enter Custom Reports into the Area popup field at upper left.
  3. Choose New Layout from the Edit menu.
  4. Enter a name for the layout, then click OK.
  5. You can now set up your new report, using the drawing tools on the left side of the window.

Copy and Paste for Layouts

Nearly always, you can save time by starting with some other report, and then making changes. To copy a layout, follow these steps:

  1. Use the popup fields at upper left to locate the layout you'd like to move.
  2. Choose Select All from the Edit menu.
  3. Choose Copy from the Edit menu.

To paste a layout into the custom form, follow these steps:

  1. Use the popup fields at upper left to move back to the new, custom layout.
  2. Choose Paste from the Edit menu.
