When to Use BidMagic

NOTE-- We retired the BidMagic construction estimating software program in 2001. It has been replaced by Goldenseal construction estimating software.

We still include this BidMagic estimating software program manual as a convenience for users of our older program. Many features are similar, in Goldenseal estimating.

BidMagic estimates the cost of any residential or light commercial construction project, no matter how large or small the job may be. You can use it on any type of construction work--new construction, an addition, a gut/ rehab, or a remodeling project.

HINT: BidMagic estimating software program can also be used for other types of construction, if you enter additional items into its price book.

BidMagic lets you prepare estimates and bids much more quickly than you can by hand. You'll also get more accurate results, thanks to the built-in, editable price book of construction unit prices in BidMagic.

Rough Estimates

Use BidMagic to create a rough estimate in any of the following situations:

You have a client who wants you to do a project for them, and you'd like to make sure they can afford it before you take the time to prepare a formal construction bid.

You are considering a building project, and want to know approximately what it will cost for budgeting or planning purposes.

You are designing a project for a client, and want to discuss the cost of different options as you plan the project.

You are a shop teacher, developer, planner, or anyone else who needs to get an approximate cost for a construction project.
