Estimating Concrete Slabs

NOTE-- We retired the BidMagic construction estimating software in 2001. It has been replaced by Goldenseal construction estimating software.

We still include this BidMagic estimating software manual as a convenience for users of our older program. Many features are similar, in Goldenseal estimating.

Estimating Floor Slabs

The BidMagic estimating program calculates the area and cost for concrete floor slabs of any type. Turn on this choice if you will be pouring floor slabs, sidewalks, or any other concrete slabs.

For first floor, basement and other slabs, enter the thickness in inches. If you are pouring a monolithic slab and footing, use the thickness of the slab only--the thickened portion should be entered as a footing.

Also enter the area for each type of slab. If you lock the basement and first floor slab areas, they will use the total area for that particular story.
