Estimating Ceiling Heights

NOTE-- We retired the BidMagic construction estimating software in 2001. It has been replaced by Goldenseal construction estimating software.

We still include this BidMagic estimating software manual as a convenience for users of our older program. Many features are similar, in Goldenseal estimating.

Ceiling Height

BidMagic construction estimating software allows you to enter a different ceiling height for each room.

Enter the average ceiling height for the room, measured in feet from the top of the finished floor up to the bottom of the finished ceiling. To handle a ceiling that is partly or totally sloped, see page 374.

NOTE: For a 'cathedral' ceiling, measure up to the ceiling just as in any other room. This is different from the way cathedral ceilings are treated in non-remodeling projects (see page 372).
