Accounts Payable

Although the MacNail construction accounting software is intended primarily for Job Costing and General Accounting, you can also use it for your Accounts Payable.

NOTE-- In 2000, MacNail was replaced by Goldenseal construction accounting software. Goldenseal is an integrated program that includes general accounting, job costing, payroll and project billing, plus estimating and other features. Goldenseal makes Accounts Payable easy!

Data Entry

1. Use Logbooks for any of cost types (Labor, Materials, Subcontractors, Misc) that will get automated Accounts Payable.
2. Enter invoices as they arrive. You can also enter cost information from delivery tickets or purchase orders, if they include full price information.
3. If you pay any item, write the check number into the paid column of the Logbook.
4. If you are charged late charges on overdue items, enter them into the appropriate Logbook. You can charge the cost against a particular job, or against overhead.
