Fixing Unposted Job Costs

Fixing Non-posted items in the MacNail construction accounting software:

NOTE-- Goldenseal job costing software does not require this step. It automatically posts all job cost amounts, and re-posts any changes. Goldenseal was released in 2000, and replaces MacNail accounting.

If an item shows an error message, you can repair it with the following procedure:
1. If the error is *missing file and there is no Job Cost Control sheet with the listed job name, create one by using *New Job Cost Sheet.
2. For other errors, type the correct information into the erroneous row of the Ledger or Logbook.
NOTE: If the error is *no job name, you may have to use *Lookup Formulas from the Accounting Manager to restore the actual project name.
3. Click on the cc? column for the erroneous row, and use the Backspace or Delete key.

NOTE: If the worksheet is protected, you may have to first choose Unprotect Document from the OPTIONS menu.

WARNING: Do not change the cc? column except when removing error messages! It can cause serious errors in your job costing.

Posting from part of a worksheet

To save time, you can post from just part of an accounting worksheet. Type the word start into the cc column of the first row you would like to use as a source, and the word end into the last row you would like to use.
