Financial Reports

The MacNail construction accounting software uses Financial Reports to give you a job-by-job breakdown of your cash flow for any time period.

NOTE-- In 2000, MacNail was replaced by Goldenseal construction accounting software. Goldenseal is an integrated program that includes general accounting, job costing, payroll and project billing, plus estimating and other features. It includes about a dozen financial reports.

To see a Financial Report:
1. Choose *Reports from the DATA menu.
2. A dialog box will appear. Click on the buttons for Financial, and for Main File.
3. A second dialog box will appear. Make sure Payouts only is not checked, and click All items.

4. A new file will be created, listing all projects from the Master Index, with income and outgo for each.
5. After you have started with MacNail Accounting, you will be able to make Financial Reports for any time period, and for any combination of Ledgers (if you have more than one).

NOTE: If you make frequent financial reports, be sure to enter code numbers in the job# column of each item in the Ledgers. For checks covering more than one job, put in the job number of the job getting the largest share of the payment.
