Aluminum Storm Window Installation Cost |
Construction Item Description Construction estimating unit cost for installation of a triple-track aluminum storm window of average size. Unit Size One storm window. Labor Costs We figure about 1.2 hours for a skilled worker to install one window, with a little help from an unskilled worker. This cost includes initial measurement and installation of average size storm windows on a mixture of first and second floor positions. Add .1 hour for blind-stop installation, and .1 hour if all windows are on the 2nd story or higher, or if there is difficult exterior access. Material Costs One triple-track aluminum storm window. Suggested Quantity Goldenseal suggests a window count from the Window & Door Dimensions screen. Source of Construction Pricing Based on crew timing and/or job costing data from many storm window installations done by Turtle Creek Construction. There was a spell in the late 70's when it seemed we were installing these by the hundred.
