Small Tree Removal Cost

Construction ITEM DESCRIPTION

Construction unit cost for removing a small tree (less than 8 inch diameter).

This work item may be necessary before doing remodeling work, or it may be part of a landscaping project.

Unit Size

One tree.

Labor Costs

We figure about 1 1/2 hours of unskilled laborer time to cut the tree, buck the wood into fireplace lengths, trim the top branches into manageable lengths and stack them or place them in a dumpster.

If there are many overhead wires or if the tree is close to a building, you may need to add quite a bit of additional time for this item. Also add extra time if you need to bundle the tops for disposal or if you are running them through a chipper.

NOTE-- Some early versions of Goldenseal may be missing the components for this item. It was caused by an obscure bug which misplaced the construction components while importing, due to the "<" less than sign.

Material Costs

We figure 1/5 day of chainsaw time per tree (running costs including gasoline, oil, maintenance and depreciation).

Suggested Quantity

No suggestion. Just enter the number of trees you think you'll need to remove.

Source of Construction Pricing
