Garage Foundation Wall Cost |
Construction ITEM DESCRIPTION Masonry construction cost for a six-course garage stem wall four feet in height (three feet below grade, and one foot above grade). Unit Size One lineal foot of wall. Labor Costs We figure approximately 3 lineal feet of wall per hour of mason time (about 15 blocks laid), plus half-time support from an unskilled worker. NOTE-- Some early versions of Goldenseal had a typo for this labor cost, with .03 hours per foot instead of .3. Material Costs Six blocks per foot, plus some mortar raw materials. Suggested Quantity Goldenseal suggests the garage perimeter for this construction quantity. Source of Construction Pricing Based on timing and job cost data from masonry projects done by Turtle Creek Construction. We did a bunch of garages and came up with this specific "rule of thumb" price for them, then didn't build another garage for 10+ years. Go figure.
