Brick Replacement Cost |
Construction ITEM DESCRIPTION Masonry construction unit cost for removing and replacing brick work. Unit Size One square foot. Labor Costs We figure about 5 1/2 square feet per hour for a mason, and about 8 square feet per hour for an unskilled worker. This cost covers removal of old brick and then replacement with new bricks. HINT-- If you want a cost for replacement of the same bricks, duplicate this assembly and remove the bricks. You might also want to add some extra labor for the stockpiling and cleaning. Material Costs Brick (about 7 bricks per square foot) and mortar raw materials. This cost does not include wall ties. Suggested Quantity Goldenseal suggests the net siding area, which it calculates from wall areas minus window and door opening sizes. Source of Construction Pricing This was approximately our installation cost for relatively small quantities of brick work installed by our crew. Turtle Creek Construction didn't do that much brick work, and even when we did, we subcontracted the larger projects. Places Included Architect Starter File, Construction Starter File, Developer Starter File. Comments Click here for more about Goldenseal construction estimating software.
