Labor Costs

We figure about 10 square feet of blocks installed per hour by a skilled worker, plus approximately half-time support from a unskilled worker.

Material Costs

A little more than two precast adobe blocks per square foot.

Suggested Quantity

Goldenseal suggests the net siding area, which it calculates from exterior wall areas minus the size of window and door openings.

Source of Construction Pricing

We got this as a "rule of thumb" from one of our users in the Southwest. Turtle Creek Construction never installed adobe here in rainy freeze/thaw country. During the local mud season it would probably turn to, well, mud.
